In addition to Bels extensive Yoga knowledge, she has a strong athletic and functional training background (she’s an avid CrossFitter). In this practical specialty class, Bel will teach you about fascia, the role it plays within the body and a variety of fascia release techniques. We will use tennis balls and other props to work into all of your tight spots, releasing the fascia and get you moving freely again.
The fascia is a densely woven fabric of connective tissue within our bodies that holds us together. It wraps around every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone and organ. When the fascia becomes tight it can inhibit movement and cause pain. In additional to the physical benefits, fascia release has a calming effect on the central nervous system which will leave you feeling calm and centred for the week ahead.
This specialty class is perfect for everyone. It does not matter if you are a seasoned Yogi or never tried Yoga before. Perhaps you are an Athlete that needs to give your body a little extra love for a big event coming up!
