Vinyasa (Flow) means, “to place in a special way.” Each movement is a gradual progression from one to the next. The movement is aligned and linked with the breath so that you move with each inhale and exhale.
Our “Progressive Flow” classes are simply a dynamic version of this flow – to encouraging you to explore the next stage or level of your practice. Encouraging you “to place in a new way” as you explore advancing yourself, your postures, your mind and your self.
Theme: ‘Spread Your Wings’ – moving along the theme of birds in flight! Think of hip openers, core work, deepen flexibility, breath work to help you find flight. For postures, think heron, birds of paradise, crow/crane, and the peak – flying pigeon and one legged crow or crane!
The goal is to understand the process of moving and meditation combined; learning how postures that may seem challenging can also bring a sense of calm to the mind, through the means of full breath, deep focus and concentration, resulting in a moving meditation.
