Progressive Flow – Standing Balance

Progressive Flow -Standing Balance!

Thursday, 6th September at 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Vinyasa (Flow) means, “to place in a special way.” Each movement is a gradual progression from one to the next. The movement is aligned and linked with the breath so that you move with each inhale and exhale.

Our “Progressive Flow” classes are simply a dynamic version of this flow – to encouraging you to explore the next stage or level of your practice. Encouraging you “to place in a new way” as you explore advancing yourself, your postures, your mind and your self.

Scheduled for yogis who are familiar with the yoga basics, our progressive flow classes will allow you to progress your practice, to dig a little deeper and to move your body in a new way.

Theme: Standing Balance
The focus is on finding balance as we move through a range of standing postures. Using the breath to find steadiness and ease we’ll flow through familiar, and maybe not so familiar postures, finding the balance between healthy challenge and comfort zone. It will be an opportunity to challenge yourself, but perhaps to also practice not taking things too seriously. We all fall down in life (and yoga), but how you react, how you pick yourself up, that’s what matters!

You can expect a few more balance challenges in regular poses like down dog, lunges, tree; and some standing twists like, eagle pose & bird of paradise.
