Vinyasa (Flow) means, “to place in a special way.” Each movement is a gradual progression from one to the next. The movement is aligned and linked with the breath so that you move with each inhale and exhale.
Our “Progressive Flow” classes are simply a dynamic version of this flow – to encouraging you to explore the next stage or level of your practice. Encouraging you “to place in a new way” as you explore advancing yourself, your postures, your mind and your self.
Scheduled for yogis who are familiar with the yoga basics, our progressive flow classes will allow you to progress your practice, to dig a little deeper and to move your body in a new way.
Theme: Beyond Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose)
We’re going beyond Urdhva Dhanurasana (wheel pose)!
The world of backbends extends past Urdhva Dhanurasana and in this progressive class we’ll explore Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana (one legged wheel pose) and beyond!
We’ll warm up in asanas (postures) where the body takes the shape of a bow. Leading us to the visually stunning Eka Pada Urdhva Dhanurasana or One-Legged Upward Facing Bow Pose! The possibilities beyond there are limitless, you’ll have to come along to see where we go!
