Yin (stretch) Workshop & Kickstarter Package

Replenish, revive, balance and restore at our Yin Yoga Workshop!

Yin yoga is the practice of long-held and deeply relaxing stretching poses that open the supportive structures in your body such as fascia, tendons and ligaments.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who is interested in this type of yoga but nervous to try the class, or regular yin yogis who want to understand more, or practice for longer.

In this Yin Yoga workshop you will learn about why Deep Stretch (yin yoga) is so important for your bodies function, mobility, flexibility and strength. We will delve deep into the connective tissue of the body and we’ll play around with some of the most common Yin positions and work through the props used in most Yin classes.

You will learn about the fundamental principals behind the practice of Yin Yoga such as ‘finding your edge’, the important and fundamental role of the breath, and why we hold each pose for an extended length of time.

As always in our workshops, there will have plenty of time to make sure you can ask questions, get some personal attention and feedback, and play around to work out what’s best for your unique body.

This workshop is specifically designed to get you feeling comfortable and confident to attend any of our Yin Yoga classes.

Yoga Nidra – Speciality Class – Theme “Transformation”

Yoga Nidra for Transformation Workshop

At a time of year where we are busy setting resolutions, join our beautiful teacher Natalie in exploring transformation through Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep).

A form of guided meditation typically done while lying down, Yoga Nidra is based upon both ancient tantric and modern yoga practices. By quieting the mind and relaxing deeply, profound transformation and healing is available. In some circles Yoga Nidra is called effortless transformation, as it’s not something to achieve or ‘do right’.

Yoga Nidra is used for stress management, insomnia, and to improve the functioning of the nervous system and endocrine system. Yoga Nidra works with the energetic body to induce a deep state of rest. From within this liminal space – somewhere between conscious and unconscious – we’ll explore the power of sankalpa (intention/heart’s desire/positive affirmation) and releasing samskaras (subtle impressions of past actions) to realise transformation on many levels.

This Yoga Nidra for Transformation Speciality Class is suitable for students of all levels and mobility, with modifications and props used throughout for support.
