Yoga Nidra Specialty Class
Yoga Nidra or Yogic Sleep is the stage you are in between sleeping and waking. It is the deepest possible state of relaxation. Even when you sleep, your subconscious is still active which is why we dream. During Yoga Nidra, your mind is calm and your body is completely relaxed while your senses are still operating, making this the ultimate state of relaxation. Yoga Nidra will calm your mind, reduce stress and anxiety, and teach you how to observe your body and breath.
This specialty class will be guided by Suzie and you can look forward to starting in Savasana to practice your breathing, you will then be taken through a journey unique to your body. With gentle verbal instructions, you will become aware of various smells and sounds, set intentions, scan your body, use counting to assist with visualisation techniques to ultimately calm your mind and achieve Yoga Nidra.
This specialty class will leave you feeling restored. Not only physically but mentally as well.
In addition to Bels extensive Yoga knowledge, she has a strong athletic and functional training background (she’s an avid CrossFitter). In this practical specialty class, Bel will teach you about fascia, the role it plays within the body and a variety of fascia release techniques. We will use tennis balls and other props to work into all of your tight spots, releasing the fascia and get you moving freely again.
This is a structured Ashtanga workshop designed to teach you from start to finish the ins and outs of the Ashtanga Series.
In this practical workshop you will learn about Astanga, the role it plays in Yoga and a variety of poses and sequences you will experience in your next Ashtanga class. Lexi will use the core structure of the Ashtanga series from Sun salutations, Inversions … right through to working on the jump through from Down Dog..

Yoga For Mums – How Helpful is it REALLY!??
The benefits of Yoga for mums, parents or anyone caring for a baby or child are enormous. In general, Yoga can help with stress, anxiety and improving your overall sense of wellbeing and calm.
But when it comes to Mums, it’s like these benefits are explosive in their power to help, those early days with a newborn, those tough days with a toddler, or those tiring days when we haven’t had much sleep (does that ever stop!?) Yoga helps with us to deal with those days. To take the edge off the overwhelm or the enormity of the task at hand on those days. Yoga helps through sneakily teaching us to breath, to smile, to laugh, to slow down, in advance, in the studio or at home, so that when those big days hit us, the techniques are already inside us and the benefit kicks in.
